Science Activities at This Year's Eggstravaganza
The Easter Bunny can’t wait for the weekend when it poses for pictures with kids of all ages at the Galt Museum & Archives Eggstravaganza this Saturday, April 19 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
“At this year`s event, kids and their families can make baby birds, paper flowers, origami animals, napkin rings and other Easter crafts,” says Chris Roedler, Resource Development & Volunteer Coordinator at the Galt Museum & Archives. “There will be face painting stations, popcorn, and the featured exhibit Arts of China will be open for exploration. Volunteers from our sponsors Servus Credit Union, B-93.3 and Country 95.5 will be on site to lend a hand.
Admission to Eggstravaganza is free for adults and ages 1 and under; $4 per child ages 1+, $3 for children ages 1+ of annual pass holders.
The Galt Museum will be closed on Easter Sunday, but is open from 1:00 – 5:00 pm on both Good Friday and Easter Monday, and from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 19.
The special exhibit Arts of China: Glimpses of an Ancient Civilization, developed and circulated by the Royal Ontario Museum, closes Sunday, May 19. Its appearance in Lethbridge is made possible in part by funding support from the Department of Canadian Heritage.
