“GREEN” ACTIVITIES AT THIS YEAR’S EGGSTRAVAGANZA

SAT APRIL 07 | 10am – 2pm | $4 [$3*]/child 1+ | *Galt annual pass holder rate | free for parents & babies

A kid-friendly, larger-than-life Easter Bunny, earth-friendly crafts, and 30 dozen eggs are on standby for this year’s Eggstravaganza at the Galt Museum & Archives happening Saturday, April 7 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the exhibit Earth’s Climate in the Balance open for exploration too.

“At this year’s Eggstravaganza kids and their families can expect a great time,” says Chris Roedler, Resource Development & Volunteer Coordinator at the Galt Museum & Archives. “There will be a variety of Easter craft stations where recycled materials like cans and milk cartons, paper, and shirts will be transformed into Easter trees, butterflies and other memorable take-home crafts.”

“The dyes for the 360 eggs, donated by Burnbrae Farms and hardboiled by Galt Museum volunteers, are made with environment-friendly recipes. The Canadian Parents for French are long-time supporters of the event, and do a fantastic job looking after the face painting stations. And of course the Easter bunny will be there, so don’t forget your cameras!”

Admission to Eggstravaganza is free for adults and $4 per child over the age of one, or $3 for children of annual passholders.

The special exhibit Earth’s Climate in the Balance, organized and circulated by Bruce County Museum, closes on Earth Day (Sunday, April 22), with special activities planned on that day as well.
