History isn't just in the museum! Explore the Mountain View Cemetery to learn about people in the past. Program available to be booked during the following months: September, October, April, May and June.

Curriculum Connections

This program is designed to complement the Grade 4 Social Studies curriculum, but it can also be used to explore historical thinking skills at other grade levels. The program addresses the following curriculum objectives: 

4.2.1 Recognize how stories of people and events provide multiple perspectives on past and present events

4.S.2 Use historical and community resources to understand and organize the sequence of local historical events. (This program challenges students to see the graveyard as a community resource that we can use to learn about the past.)
