New Bus Route Enables Access to Lethbridge Cultural Sites All Summer Long
Members of the media are invited to the launch of the cultureLINK bus on Monday, June 27 at 10 am at the Galt Museum & Archives, 502 1 Street S, Lethbridge, AB. Community partners and collaborators will be on hand with members of City Council for the inaugural trip.
Lethbridge—A new, innovative municipal transit pilot project entitled cultureLINK is launching this summer. Designed to provide an accessible connection between the Oldman River valley with Lethbridge’s downtown core and premiere attractions, this fare-free summer service (June 27–September 30, 2022) provides residents and visitors to Lethbridge with a carefree opportunity to explore the city.
The colourful, eye catching bus connects Helen Schuler Nature Centre, Fort Whoop-Up, Galt Museum & Archives | Akaisamitohkanao'pa, Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksiksitsitapiitsinikssin, Casa and Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden seven days per week between the hours of 10 am and 7 pm. A tourism ambassador will be on board Monday through Saturday courtesy of Tourism Lethbridge to share with locals and visitors to Lethbridge all the exciting and memorable activities, special events and places to experience, shop and eat.
The hop-on-hop-off route—which runs roughly every 20 minutes—corresponds with many regular transit routes so connections are easily made. “There will be no better way to experience the energy and vitality that Lethbridge has to offer this summer, plus visitors will be helping reduce their carbon footprint and maybe make a few new friends along the way,” notes Galt Museum & Archives CEO Darrin Martens.
The cultureLINK route launches in front of the Galt Museum on Monday, June 27 at 10 am. Community partners and collaborators will be on hand with members of City Council for the inaugural trip.
