The Galt Museum & Archives popular Galt Workshops program continues monthly from May 30 through August 22 with hands-on topics for adults on beading basics, felting with a resist, folk art Christmas presents, and hair ornaments – a cash bar will also be open and variety of edible goodies will be available… all the ingredients for a fun night out! Each program starts at 7:00 pm and is included in the cost of admission to the Galt.

“Our Galt Workshops showcase a unique aspect of history and culture not only relevant to local history, but also to the global community,” says to Lauren Bartholomew, Programs Assistant at the Galt.“Beading and felting have been done for thousands of years worldwide, and folk art is a reflection of community spirit. That spirit and the unique flair of different cultures will be fostered in our spring and summer Galt Workshops as we share in the process of creating folk art crafts.”
