Fort Whoop-Up Hosts Mini-Pow Wow on July 1st
Lethbridge, AB - The Galt Museum & Archives is offering free admission to Fort Whoop-Up on Friday, July 1st from 1–4:30 pm to as part of our Canada Day celebrations.
Galt Community Programs Coordinator, Janae Redgrave has developed a line-up of performances to enrich this special occasion. “We’re excited to present great programs as part of our Canada Day celebrations. Canada Day is also Museum Community Day at Fort Whoop-Up and the Galt Museum & Archives.” Festivities will include tours, games and a mini-powwow. Wagon rides will be running and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Guests will enjoy live music by the band Evergreen.
Admission is also free on Friday, July 1 at the Galt Museum & Archives. Visitors are also welcome to enjoy museum grounds, hallway exhibits and of course the main gallery exhibit Annora Brown: Daughter of the Prairies. “We are pleased to participate in the community celebrations commemorating the formation of Canada” says Galt Executive Director and CEO, Susan Burrows-Johnson.
