A Passion for Trees—a Galt Museum mini-documentary

The life of an arborist is never dull, but what exactly does an arborist do? Learn some of the specifics from Lethbridge’s only female certified arborist Maureen Sexsmith-West and how she’s fostering the next generation of women in urban forestry to care for our local trees.

This video was created as part of our temporary exhibit, Rooted: How Trees Give Us Life, which was on display MAY 28–NOV 06 2022. From the exhibit description: "Rooted explores the tangible and intangible benefits trees provide us on a daily basis. While trees surround us in neighbourhoods and parks, we often see them as abstract objects, rather than as the living, breathing, vital organisms that they are."
