Depictions of Aboriginal people were long used for postcards. Traditionally they conveyed the “noble savage” stereotype, an exotic other. Lisa Hildebrand decided to upend the tradition and let the Blackfoot people choose depictions of themselves. This idea resulted into an innovative postcard series published by the Galt.
