Bridge and Brews BeerFest

The Friends Society of the Sir Alexander Galt Museum & Archives presents the inaugural Bridge and Brews BeerFest on October 4th.  Sample beers from around southern and central Alberta from up to 20 craft breweries.  Food trucks and live music will also be at the festival.  The Festival runs from 4PM until 12AM at the Galt Museum & Archives. This event is 18+, no exceptions.

Battle of the Belly River Project

The Battle of the Belly River is a significant event that happened between the Blackfoot people and a group of Crees in 1870. In order to focus on the Niitsitapi voices that have been ignored in the past, we are encouraging community members and families to share any stories of this event that have been passed down. We also understand that some families may even have items/artifacts from the event that they have been safekeeping for the family. We would be very interested in photographing these items and hearing the story that is associated with them.
