The Galt Museum & Archives popular Beer (& Wine) Tasting fundraiser is a mere fortnight plus two sleeps away! Scheduled for Friday, September 9 from 4:30 – 10:00 pm, this year’s event celebrates the Galt’s upcoming Toys & Games exhibit opening to the public on October 1.

 “We thought it would be fun to look ahead to the new exhibit” adds Chris Roedler, the Galt’s new Resource Development & Volunteer Coordinator, who is responsible for the tasting event. “We encourage ticket-holders to come in their best toy or game outfit for a chance to win great prizes!”

 New beers and past favourites, as well as wine and spirits will be available to sample at the event. The silent auction includes a pair tickets for the September Bachman & Turner concert, two rounds of golf at Paradise Canyon Golf Club, and a 1/6 pg ad from Lethbridge living Magazine.  Pizza donated by Panago Pizza will be available for purchase, along with other refreshments.  All proceeds from the event support the Galt Museum & Archives.

 Tickets have been available since August 9 at the Galt Museum Store, and are going fast! They are priced at $9 each ($7.50 for Annual Pass Holders), and include a collector’s mini stein, while supplies last. Product sampling tickets will be sold at the event for $1 [GST included]. Because the event sells out each year, it is expected that tickets will not be available at the door. To purchase tickets by phone call 403.320-3954. 

 The Galt is open daily 10:00 am – 5:00 pm until August 31, when new fall hours go in effect:  Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, Sundays and holidays 1:00-4:30 pm.
